The Grammy nominations have finally arrived and we’ve got the blues listings! Among the notable contenders is Charlie Musselwhite, for his The Well album. We’ve spoken with Charlie about this amazing album and reviewed it on this site. Congratulations, Charlie! Buddy Guy’s stirring album Living Proof, which a review is pending for here, also won a nomination. Also a special congratulations for Cyndi Lauper and Kenny Wayne Shepherd for their nominations in respective categories. Both have very strong blues roots, and this year have both paid homage to their patriarchal genres with the release of their respective blues albums.
