Every year, thousands of bands, fans, industry players, entertainers, and reporters descend upon Beale Street for the Blues Foundation’s International Blues Challenge. This year, over forty states and sixteen individual countries will be represented by various blues organizations. Each will be competing for the top position in the Solo/Duo and Band categories, and the winner of each will compete to become this year’s 2012 IBC winner.
American Blues Scene will be covering the event, as we do every year, and will be bringing you up-to-the-minute happenings, including band standings every day. Stay tuned to the American Blues Scene to be at the IBC without leaving the comfort of your screen!
The dates for this year’s International Blues Challenge (IBC) will be Tuesday, January 31 through Saturday February 4, 2012.
