Memphis, TN – If you are in town to attend the events surrounding the 37th Blues Music Awards this week, add this event to your must do list. On Friday, May 6th, at the Hard Rock Café, Ellersoul Records will present a Blues Lunch CD release event for Blues for Big Walter, the label’s new tribute to the legendary blues harp pioneer Big Walter Horton.
Musicians that played on the album will be performing at the party including Li’l Ronnie Owens, Mark Wenner, Sugar Ray Norcia, Bob Corritore, Mark Hummel, Andrew Alli, Bob Margolin, and more. The party starts at 11:30 am, and there is no cover charge.
The album is a non-profit project with the artists performing on the album having donated their time, and all proceeds from sales of the album going to the Blues Foundation and HART Fund.
