Johnson’s Beach in Guerneville, California is a picturesque venue that rests along the beach of the Russian River, only a stone’s throw from numerous wineries offering the perfect backdrop for a festival. Here, music lovers have enjoyed incredible music over the years including the Doobie Brothers, Dr. John, The Neville Brothers, Buddy Guy, Etta James and many others.
The 2018 Russian River Blues Festival returns to the beach on Sunday, June 10th. Here music festivals have been a staple of the community for over 40 years, with Omega Events being the proud owner the festivals for the last 10 years.
This year’s exciting lineup is led by five-time GRAMMY® Award-winner Robert Cray and his band, Hi Rhythm. Joining them on this year’s bill are Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Eric Burdon & The Animals, blues legend Taj Mahal Trio, and blues master Elvin Bishop with his Big Fun Trio. Rounding out the festivities are guitarist Chris Cain and Aussie soul slinger Kara Grainger.
Music lovers can come early and join the fun at the kickoff celebrations on Saturday, June 9. The Goo Goo Dolls and Shaggy are joined by regional party bands The California Honeydrops, Royal Jelly Jive, David Luning and Kingsborough.
Guests enjoy two stages of alternating music, dancing, and wine tasting. Visit with old friends, make new friends – jam-packed into one incredible weekend on the river!
