Known for her soul-drenched vocals paired with blues-rooted authenticity, Lauren Anderson continues to evolve as a storyteller—this time stepping into new territory with a striking duet alongside fellow powerhouse singer-songwriter Tracee Perrin. Premiering exclusively on American Blues Scene, “Seasons Change” is a deeply human meditation on resilience.

Set against a backdrop of Americana soul, the song eases in with warm, earthy textures, capturing the emotional ebb and flow that comes with weathering life’s storms.

Anderson’s approach has always been intentional—balancing emotional vulnerability with technical skill, informed by her classical training and background in music therapy. “I love creating music that helps people work through things and connect to each other,” she says. That intention shines through here, as “Seasons Change” becomes less of a song and more of a mantra, with Anderson’s soulful depth laying the foundation. “We all go through challenges and ups and downs in life,” she shares. “When the world is bright and sunny, everything is great. But when we’re blue and sad, sometimes the low times feel never ending. ‘Seasons Change’ is a reminder that when life is dark, just hold on. The light will shine again.”

Tracee Perrin, whose voice brings a complementary clarity and lifts the track with shimmering high harmonies, reflects on the song’s deeper emotional core: “The storms of life will come. That we know. But we don’t get through them faster by running away from them. ‘Seasons Change’ is about embracing the challenges and getting comfortable being uncomfortable… because there are blue skies above them clouds.”
