Discover what the words in your favorite blues songs really mean from American Blues Scene and The Huffington Post contributor Debra Devi, author of The Language of the Blues: From Alcorub to Zuzu (foreword by Dr. John), “one of the wittiest, bawdiest, most fascinating dictionaries ever” (Reuters) and an ASCAP Deems Taylor Award winner for Outstanding Book on Music. Devi will share insights into blues language from her research and interviews with such legends as Robert Jr. Lockwood, Hubert Sumlin, Henry Gray, Milton Campbell, Smiley Ricks, Jody Williams, Bob Margolin and Jimmie Vaughan. Devi will be showcasing several blues tunes, too!
