Ana Popovic’s hit album Unconditional, a perpetual force on the chart for the past eight weeks, has landed in the top spot, achieving #1 status in the Blues Top Five this week. The widespread critical acclaim of the album and legions of fans Ana has won with her amazing guitar prowess has made her an international hit. Bobby Messano, who has made exceptional showings on the Blues Top Five chart in the past five weeks, twice reaching #1, held the #2 position. Dana Fuchs, the smokey, soulful vocal master who portrayed Sadie in the hit movie Across The Universe, dropped to number three after shooting to the number one position last week. Sibling trio and IBC award winners Trampled Under Foot held the Blues Top Five’s #4 position. Hit vocalist and newcomer to the top five ranks Sena Ehrhardt, reached #5 with Leave the Light On, released through Blind Pig Records.
