Today, British Blues Award winner Dani Wilde releases a new single, “I Miss The World.” Featuring her brother, celebrated blues harp player Will Wilde, the video finds the two performing in the studio.
Amid bleak newspaper headlines, there are endless summers, blue skies, and green grass as far as the eye can see conjured by the expressive harmonica and her signature blues-meets-gospel vocals in this original composition. The nostalgic lyrics recall life before the internet, and a time when you could let your kids play outside with the neighborhood kids until sundown with nary a care in the world.
Dani established herself in the international blues scene in 2007, opening for Jools Holland at The Royal Albert Hall and signing to Ruf Records. Since then she has toured extensively across the UK, Europe, America, Canada, and Africa. USA concerts have included headline shows under her own name, and performances with group Girls With Guitars alongside Samantha Fish and Cassie Taylor.
She has been with VizzTone Label Group since 2017 when they released her live studio album, Live at Brighton Road. Her single “Bumblebee” reached over 4 million plays on Spotify, and with release after release her relationship with the label continues to thrive.
