The International Blues Challenge – Quarterfinals Round 2 begin at 4:30 pm
There will be a Health Fair and Screenings event from noon through 2:30 pm. The IBC Quarterfinals – Round 1 begin at 4:30 pm.
The International Blues Challenge (IBC) officially opens at the Clayborn Temple, a key site in the civil rights struggle of the 1960s where Dr. Martin Luther King spoke.
Enjoy wonderful blues music by many of the great Women in Blues performers and some of our finest blues brothers, while partaking of Alfred’s tasty lunch menu.
The shows will feature 2016 Grammy nominee Vasti Jackson, St. Louis blues prodigy, Marquise Knox, and American bluesman and educator, Fernando Jones.

It’s also the time when musicians representing blues societies from around the world come to compete in the International Blues Challenge.
