Casebeer's first introduction to music was Elvis. Like many of his generation he grew up loving roots based sounds and his first introduction to the blues was through the bands that are considered classic rock now. He has a deep love of the blues, loves to talk about it, loves to write about it and loves to watch it live on stage, with or without.a camera in his hand.
Here is a video from one my favorite singers, Curtis Salgado, performing on the 2009 Blues Music Awards. I am in the process of conducting a lengthy interview with Mr. Salgado that just seems to go on and on. The thing is, this guy has seen and done more in life than most of us ever will. The first thing that jumped out at me was this booming, powerful voice. Tom Dudley, The Blues Buddha, is definitely a very talented singer with incredible range. He seems to float all over the place from Blues, Rhythm and Blues, Country. His thundering voice most definitely fits his Buddha-Like physic. The lyrics are very catchy and this is without a doubt, one extremely talented bunch of musicians. When you are a Taft you grow up to be a lawyer, politician or go into business. Certainly, being a professional musician does not appear high the list but in Dudley Taft’s case by the time he realized this it was much too late.

In the summer of 2009 the trio played a string of big blues & jazz festivals all over Europe. During those long travels they got a lot of ideas for new songs. So in the middle of the tour they went into the studio for two days and recorded a new record (AIN’T GOTTA DIME).
