Since his passing, the Dr. John Estate has released five critically acclaimed albums, including the Grammy-nominated ‘Things Happen That Way.’ These posthumous releases follow his musical evolution, featuring live performances, rare recordings, and timeless classics.
“Blues is a living, breathing art form, and Cody brings a skill and passion that we’re really looking forward to tapping into. It opens up a lot of avenues for us to explore sonically that haven’t been available in the past, and that’s very compelling for me,” guitarist Matthew Stubbs tells us. The video for “Things They Tellin’ You” from Robert Connely Farr’s ‘Pandora Sessions’ captures the universal weight of suffering and the blurred lines between truth and deception. Directed by longtime collaborator Jay Bundy Johnson, the visual pairs Farr’s melancholic, minimalist blues with haunting footage from the Prelinger Archive.
