Yesterday, 11/10/2011, Matt “Guitar” Murphy and long time girl friend, Kathy Hemrick were married in a private ceremony in South Miami. The couple resides in the South Miami area. A reception will be held at Satchmo in Fort Lauderdale on 12/10/11 to celebrate their nuptials and the release of his new CD entitled “Last Call”. Matt, best known for his roles in the Blues Brothers Band and movies, began his career in the late forties performing in bands with Howlin’ Wolf, Jr. Parker, Memphis Slim, James Cotton and the Zaitchik Brothers Band to name just a few.
Matt currently is building signature series guitars with Mike Delaney of
Delaney Guitars and performing with Albert Castiglia on 12/10/11 at his CD release party/wedding reception.
