The first look at Get On Up, the upcoming biopic on James Brown, has recently surfaced. Chadwick Boseman, who previously starred as Jackie Robinson in 2013’s 42, is playing the part of the godfather of soul.

Performers include John Nemeth, the Bo-Keys, the Rev. Jimmie Bratcher, the Andy T. – Nick Nixon Band, Josh Vowell, Jackie Wilson, Markey Blue, Cumberland Blue and Jesse Black

The landmark 30th annual International Blues Challenge is taking place in Memphis, Tennessee “the home of the blues”, and American Blues Scene will be continuing it’s annual coverage of the week’s events in their entirety.
