The Rolling Stones have released a video for their cover of the blues song, “Hate to See You Go.” The track comes from their upcoming album, Blue & Lonesome, scheduled for release on December 2nd on Polydor Records.
“Hate to See You Go,” is one of two tracks that Mick and the boys cover by Chicago harp master, Little Walter. Recorded in just three days at British Grove Studios, Blue & Lonesome is the Rolling Stones’ 30th studio album, and their first in over a decade. It is a return to their blues roots and also features covers of songs by Howlin’ Wolf, Eddy Taylor, Willie Dixon, and Jimmy Reed.
Co-producer Don Was said, “This album is manifest testament to the purity of their love for making music, and the blues is, for the Stones, the fountainhead of everything they do.”
