The Rolling Stones’ Mick Jagger and Keith Richards have insisted on covering the full expense of pioneering bluesman Hubert Sumlin’s burial.

We’ve just received word that blues Hall of Famer Hubert Sumlin, like so many of his peers, died without the financial wherewithal to take care of his own funeral and burial expenses.

Hubert Sumlin, the long celebrated and legendary blues guitar master who played scorching guitar for Howlin’ Wolf and Muddy Waters during the Chicago Blues heyday, has reportedly passed away.

Doyle Bramhall, one of the legendary Austin drummers and a noted songwriter, passed away this morning. He was 62.

While we still don’t have many details, it is with the deepest regret to announce that Delta blues legend Pinetop Perkins passed away Monday, March 21st. He was 98 years old.

Big Jack Johnson, the Mississippi Delta guitar master, has passed away today. He was 70.
