The Grateful Guitars Foundation announced their gift to legendary guitarist Steve Kimock: a recreation of Jerry Garcia’s iconic Wolf guitar. This will happen at his band Zero’s 40th anniversary shows at Petaluma’s Mystic Theater on November 8 and 9!
Interview with Bob Bralove, creative genius who worked with the Grateful Dead on the soundtrack to the second ‘Twilight Zone’ TV series, and programmed the synthesizers that took Stevie Wonder from point A to Z 20 years into his career.
Jerry Garcia has been quoted calling Kimock his “favorite unknown guitar player.” He begins a national tour on July 18 with his band Zero that has just released ‘Naught Again,’ a live album recorded in San Francisco in 1992.
“I was the first to play Springsteen’s ‘Asbury Park’ album. It was a team effort. WMMR was an artist breaker and considered the breakout station in the country.” – Michael Tearson
Jerry told me in 1979, “We’re strictly working people, really. We’ve never been rich. I think that works out pretty well.”
A Jerry Garcia Band live performance of “Everybody Needs Somebody to Love” is available as a newly mastered single to music fans around the world in the form of 10,000 free digital streams.
The performance is split, with a full band set, an acoustic set, and his Trio.
