Dry Johnson is comprised of bassist Terry Dry and drummer Matthew Robert Johnson, who collectively have formed the powerhouse rhythm section backing award-winning Texas guitarslinger Mike Zito for almost two years.
St. Louis, and Houston (because hey, what’s blues without a wee bit of Texas in there somewhere?) flavor his blues. Rock and Roll and Country can clearly be heard in there as well.
“We named it after the Rory Gallagher song, which I also cover on the album,” Sky says. “Rory is one of my favorite players. He has a special place in my heart.”
We spoke about the music on ‘First Class Life,’ what being Rock Blues Artist of the year means to him, and what’s next for Mike Zito.

Just after the announcement that he would be leaving Royal Southern Brotherhood, Zito sat down with ABS to discuss in detail what really happened, moving forward, and knowing himself.
