Like the blues, The Reverend Shawn Amos’ sound has evolved over time. Key points in his life have triggered changes in his style, his music, and his outlook on the world.

“Servings and Portions from My Boarding House Reach” seems to be highlights of songs on the new album. It’s all we have to whet our appetites for now.

Much of this album is inspired by early 70’s afro American blues, soul, R&B, funk, and the sounds of the black exploitation movies such as ‘Superfly’…
Don’t let the cover of the album fool you. Although these three guys are having fun, they are not playing around.
In addition to Gary Clark Jr., the album includes guest performances from Tom Morello, Nathaniel Rateliff, and Chuck’s grandson Charles Berry III.
The KWS Band will celebrate the album’s release with a US tour that kicks off August 9th in Westbury, NY.
“We hope this song will inspire guys to be the best they can be and inspire ladies to keep their standards high (and vice versa).”
